My Proudest Moment

My proudest moment in my life was when I majored in a great Private College in Brazil. It’s the    one of the most unforgettable experience in my life ever, which I will always thanks my parents for it.
At the age of 19 I decided which course I would take, however, I was working in my first job as a salesgirl at a Stationary Store. I was paid once a month with exactly X (Amount in Reais "Brazilian" money) and I knew my course required X+Y reais/monthly. I could have asked help from my parents, but I was willing to face it by myself and pay it with my own money, without my parent’s help, not because I didn’t like their help, but just because I wanted to learn more about life and about being independent.
With my enrolment done for the course, I was ready to start it. I was so excited for it, that I could not even sleep well days before, thinking how that could be like. The course took me 4 (four) years, and in the middle of the 2nd (second) year I got a better job as Financer in a huge Real State with a triple amount paid. Further, I started a job which a fell in love the most, a job as a Portuguese Teacher for kids at Elementary School. I really was proud of myself, I’ve learned a lot those 4 (four) years of College, I could pay the whole course without help and plus, I was working in my area of knowledge, teaching.
The night when I got majored with my entire classmate, my parents, family and friends was the proudest moment in my life. That night I could remember everything I had been through till the end of my studies, I could remember everything that I faced to make my dreams come true. That night was the most unforgettable experience of my life, seeing my Conclusion Certificate in my hands was everything to me. Today, I am thankful for my parents, they always have been with me, giving me such love and instruction for life, for everything I need, for all my dreams.

*I majored in Language and Literacy Teaching, also Bachelor in Translator/Interpreter (Portuguese/English in Brazil, December, 2010)
